EID FC 6 Peamount 1 Ganhamos De Lavada
A new year, a new decade, but nothing new about EID's professional approach to the Leinster league. Even after smacking 4 past Peamount before half time, EID went out again like a hungry pack of wolves leaving them nowhere to hide.
The pitch wasn't in the best condition after enduring recent Arctic weather, but it couldn't be blamed for Peamount's woeful display as both teams mucked it up and came off looking more like battle worn Rugby players.
With a nice goal from in-form striker Hygo and another 2 from the unstoppable force that is Badr, Peamount struggled to deal with attack after attack and finally buckled, with a sloppy own goal from their defender to give EID a 4-0 lead going into the break "THANKS BUDDY".
The second half picked up where the first had left off with more attacking from EID. Plenty of possession and a good display from the solid defence, with Jozimar and captain Antonio holding it tight at the back along with keeper Danillo "Johnny Cash". Although Peamount managed to pull one back, a glimmer of hope perhaps? Some good midfield performances too with Hiago and Braullio giving their usual creative hard- tackling displays.
Braullio then went on a lovely run, cutting up the Peamount defense and putting a well deserved goal in the corner of the net. However, the final word came from the big man Anderson "Tanque" who came off the bench to blast the ball in the top corner from well outside the 18 yard box. The goal was a statement of intent from the big lad: "give me 90 minutes next week and you'll see more of that!!"
Final whistle, and a good day's work to keep the pressure on league leaders Everton FA, we're coming for ya!!

He once had the chance to
He once had the chance to meet Mr Best but it was cancelled at short notice and he broke down crying watching his funeral EX0-101. So to win this for him would be a massive way to say "thanks dad, you are the best".
